What People Say

Most Liked

The star of the show at Jenny's Burger is undoubtedly the charbroiled patties. Customers rave about their juicy burgers cooked to perfection on a self-rotating grill. The endless customization option at the self-serve toppings bar makes every burger a unique creation. Diners often mention the delightful crunch of the sweet potato fries and the fresh salad options available. Fast service adds to the appeal, allowing more time to enjoy that burger or to catch up with friends. The casual vibe makes it a great hangout spot, with many returning for that familiar comfort food experience.

Most Disliked

Some patrons have noted issues with the available lettuce variety, particularly during a green leaf lettuce shortage. However, iceberg lettuce still holds its own in taste. Parking can be a challenge during busy hours, especially on weekends when visitors flock to the nearby park attractions. A few diners express disappointment when the restaurant fills to capacity and seating becomes limited. Despite the occasional wait, the overall experience remains positive, though a few customers feel they could do without such a tight space on busy days.

11/5/2025: Apparently there's a green leaf lettuce shortage for three weeks now. That's why Jenny's Burgers is serving iceberg lettuce. I spoke with the tall staff guy and he said hopefully they can switch back to green leaf lettuce soon. My cheeseburger $10.50 still tasted good. I tried cucumber in my burger for the first time to mix it up. A lot of t-go orders tonight but no one was dining in. Maybe it is because of standard time. Too dark to park in Golden Gate Park. There was no parking on the street at 6:30 pm. 2025 update. After many visits, Jenny's Burger gets the Jeff H. Best Burger in the Sunset award. I love the flavor of their charbroiled patties, so juicy, perfectly cooked and not greasy. With the self-serve burger condiments bar, the customization is almost endless. Well done everyone at Jenny's Burger. Original review: You know, I've been staring at Matt Y. (a Yelp all-star)'s cheeseburger photos from Jenny's Burgers come through my feed for over a year now. I'm trying to figure out why he keeps coming here. If I'm in this part of town, I usually eat at Pacific Catch or the taco places. I ordered an 8oz cheeseburger $9.50 along with onion rings $5.25. They cook the burger on a self-rotating grill which makes the burgers cook more evenly. There's a similar spinning grill at Mo's Grill in North Beach on Grant Ave. The secret to Jenny's Burgers is their self-serve toppings station. I'm a huge fan of raw onions and two slices of tomatoes on my burgers. They use the more expensive leaf lettuce and also available are shredded lettuce. There's also a big sized pepper shaker that I liked with all the mayo and pink aioli to put on the bun. This was a very good burger. Good job team at Jenny's Burgers.

I really like their “build your own condiments” section. They make the burger and give you buns. You can put however much lettuce, onions, ketchup, and more on your burger. Tried the bacon cheeseburger and it was pretty good!

Righteous burger at a hole in the wall joint next to Golden Gate Park. Pleasantly surprised at the size, quality and juiciness of the burger patty. The self service toppings bar was different but I really enjoyed it so I could freely pick and choose not only my toppings but also the dressings to go with my burger. Twister fries were solid as well. Definitely recommend this spot if you’re in the area and looking for a good burger spot.

Tiny restaurant with a few tables, but delicious, huge burgers and exceptional customer service! My entire family loved our burgers. The garden burger was delicious as well. The condiment bar is great. Lots of fresh options. If you're near Golden Gate Park, DeYoung Museum, or California Academy of Sciences, I highly recommend stopping here for a burger!

We loved it! We got there right when they opened on Sunday and they were quick to turn around our order. We tasted four different types of fries - we preferred the garlic fries and the spicy cheese fries. Maybe ask for the spicy cheese sauce on the side because the fries at the bottom of the boat were totally drenched. The burgers were flame grilled on a spinning grill and it made them taste fantastic - meaty, a little charred and juicy! I will say the little shop was very small and a little warm, hindsight we should have gotten our order to go and eaten in the park.

A few of us thought it was the best burger we've had in years, or ever possibly. The charbroiled flavor, handmade patties, and add your own toppings , made for a delicious lunch. Many alternative items like chicken or fish, and many types of fries. We were all full and happy.
